App Store Assets Design
01 Project Brief
As part of Eurostar's comprehensive rebranding initiative, I was asked to create visually cohesive and appealing promotional graphics that would effectively communicate Eurostar’s new brand identity and enhance the app's visibility and appeal in both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
02 Challenges
• Balancing the need for visually striking designs with the clarity and readability of the assets, particularly in smaller formats like app icons and thumbnails.
• Crafting compelling visual narratives within the app screenshots and promotional graphics to effectively showcase the app’s key features.
03 Process Overview
1. Competitor Analysis
Analysed competitors' app store assets to identify industry best practices, trends, and strategies.
2. Collaboration
Worked closely with Marketing and UX teams to identify and prioritise key information to be conveyed through the assets.
3. User Research
Conducted user survey to understand what users look for in app listings to inform the structure and emphasis of the content.
4. Visual Design
Developed app store assets that were visually compelling and strategically aligned with brand and user engagement goals.
04 Process
Made To Stand Out
I started off by analysing competitors' app store assets to identify industry best practices and trends and assessed how leading apps used their promotional graphics to enhance brand presence and user engagement.
I then worked closely with the marketing and UX teams to identify the most critical pieces of information that needed to be conveyed through the assets, such as key features, unique selling points, and brand messaging.
I also conducted a user survey to understand what they look for when browsing app listings. This informed the structure and emphasis of the content in the assets, ensuring that it aligned with user expectations and needs.
05 Results
The new promotional graphics further integrated Eurostar’s rebranding efforts into the digital landscape, ensuring that the app store presence was both visually compelling and strategically aligned with the overall brand goals.
→ The redesigned App Store assets were fully aligned with Eurostar’s new brand identity, providing a consistent and polished visual presence across all digital platforms.
→ Following the redesign, there was a measurable increase in app downloads and user engagement, indicating that the new assets effectively captured user interest and communicated the app’s value proposition.
